Tonight, American Idol hosted the semi-annual Idol Gives Back television event to raise awareness for their foundation, which supports a various charitable initiatives across the globe. It was a two-hour special filled with inspiring performances, emotional video packages and special appearances by supporters such as Sir Elton John, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, David Cook and many more. The work that has been done so far is tremendous, but we still have a long way to go towards creating a better world for the next generation.
